IT'S STARTING TO REIN DEAR!!!

Back again for the holiday season, straight out of the tundra of Alaska it's...  REINDEER SAUSAGE!!!
OK, enough fanfare, we got the goods in and it's up to you to make make best of the holidays so let's eat!  And please no Rudolph jokes, this is PG food, we don't want to disturb the children... in all of us.

Blended with beef this is a lean full-flavored polish style sausage weighs in at nearly a 1/4 pound.  We grill it and add our condiments of choice: mustard, ketchup, mayo, raw onion and green relish.  It even looks kinda Christmasy!  We only have a limited supply so ya beddah get down to hank's fast, they'll be flying out of here.... oops, sorry...  They sell quickly so come and get'm.

What do you get when you put two powerful chefs and a seasoned food writer together?  A GREAT GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH!!!!!  Actually several, check out MELT, a gourmet cheese truck that is the the brainchild of Alejandro Briceno (V-Lounge), Lindsey Ozawa (formerly of Nobu), and Martha Cheng (food writer).  They kick butt!



The official launch is tomorrow, and I recommend you go take a taste sooner than later.

EVEN LATER BREAKING NEWZ

You may have heard whispers of the secrecy surrounding Oct 7th's benefit dinner for Lanikila's The Good Table.  We had orchestrated a provocative12-courses progressive cuisine dinner based on the human sensual emotions.  Eight lucky people indulged in a rare dining experience for this island, it was if I may say so, amazing!  Here is the menu with some outstanding images caught by Martha Cheng's camera that was following the action that evening.

FAT BOY MAKES IT TO THE BIG TIME!

We love our bacon down at hank's and that's how the Fat Boy was born.  So it wasn't a surprise that others took a liking to him too.  Now it's in print, recorded for posterity, top of the bacon lovers reading list, should be a guest on Oprah and yet although famous he's humbly ours... a down to earth tasty dog.  Read all about it in Rocco "Bacon Freak" Loosbrocks new cookbook.

HANKBURGER A HIT!

So the survey says our 1/2 pounder is pretty damn good.  Duh!  Tuesdays are officially burger heaven at hank's but even so, only a few may enter the pearly gates of homemade goodness.  Sold out in 2 hours last week.  Maybe it's the juiciness, the white cheddar, potato roll or perhaps the special seasoning to lock all that flavor in?  Who cares, ti tastes great so come and get folks!

HOLY HAUTE BURGER!

And Hank said, "TUESDAY IS BURGER DAY".  So continuing with our new additions of daily specials we bring... Hank's Char-Cheddar Burger. I like mine big and juicy so we take a half pound of beef, season it with double secret spices, grilled it to medium and top it with extra sharp white cheddar cheese, mustard, catsup, mayo, tomato, onion and lettuce with a dill pickle on the side.  Of course you can alter this motherlode to your liking but either way you won't be disappointed as the juices run down your chin!  Yeehaw, come and get it!

Ok so we like pushing limits in our endless quest to make you all happy.  So this one is for our spicy hot lovers who never get enough heat.  I present to you a Portuguese on Fire.  Starring not Denzel but our own sausage best buddy, Kukui Spicy Portuguese Sausage.  Of course that just isn't quite enough for you eh?  How about a fiery 3-Alarm Ketchup on it?  Oh yah, Heinz blended with Sriracha, loads of fresh Hawaiian chilies aaand just because we were on a roll, some chili pepper water, that should slap your tongue around!  Throw on some grille onions for a little sanity and hot sport peppers for a little more insanity and we're looking at some serious heat!  Monday folks, get it while it HOT!
